Transcribed below. Have a wonderful weekend.
Farm vs. Forest? Trade-offs
Livestock and Barn Dog
Safety: company absorbs cashflow issue
Predictability: steady checks
Assurances: you’ll be taken care of (retirement/pension)
-might be slaughtered
-might shift business
-might sell the farm
-might burn down and we’re trapped
Illusion of Importance
“Graveyards are filled with irreplaceable people”
Wolves and Eagles
What you do depends on the seasons/weather
See the whole economy
Can run in a new direction
Can eat unlimited food or no food
Can be killed by other business
Weather [economic conditions] effect both [paths], immediate shelter [you’ll get a paycheck near-term] but you don’t own the shelter [they can stop with little warning].
